Mastewal Taddese Terefe, Esq.
Mastewal Taddese Terefe serves as Senior Counsel to the firm. She represents plaintiffs and defendants in commercial and business disputes—including appellate litigation and arbitration—as well as employment matters, and presses cases to final resolution when necessary while remaining open to efficient, reasonable settlement.

Before joining Thompson & Skrabanek, Mastewal was an associate at a boutique international arbitration firm. She previously served as a legal fellow at the Office of the Federal Attorney General in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
Mastewal has also performed research and policy work for international organizations, including the International Development Law Organization (IDLO) and the World Bank Group, and regularly speaks and writes on African good governance and policy issues.
Mastewal grew up in Addis Ababa and has since lived and studied in six countries. She is fluent in Amharic.
